Do I need to keep coming back?

Osteopaths believe the best form of long term care is to prevent health problems recurring, so will look to identify and correct postural imbalances or body usage imbalances, to develop a long term solution. This can happen by:

  • Providing you with a specific exercise regimen to correct and maintain body alignment
  • Teaching you more efficient body usage in your home and work tasks
  • Identifying problems with home or workplace ergonomics, and working to eliminate them. Where appropriate, this can involve referral to another practitioner such as an occupational therapist or exercise physiologist.
